A few days ago, Marc Balmer, the OpenBSD developer, had received an email from an user, saying that SAMBA would crash when serving files on a MS-DOS filesystem. He contacted a few developers who claimed that they had a workaround to get it to function on BSD systems.

One problem is that this was there for 25 years, and meaning that all BSDs variants were flawed, including the Apple Mac OS X.

The code has been fixed.
