Ten has confirmed that Big Brother has been axed by the network, in a decision supported by the board at the network.

The axing is set to free up 120 hours of programming per week, and $30 million in production funding. The programming is more likely to be filled with international imports by CBS Paramount Television and 20th Century Fox. But, programming chief David Mott has said they will invest the money into local productions.
