Well the title may be a bit misleading, but YouTube is trialling high-quality videos. This DOES NOT mean that it would be HD, but it would mean that it would be longer to watch the full clip, though picture and sound sound excellent.
The picture above doesn’t really showcase the new feature very well, but you can see the picture difference. The second image is much sharper than the first one.
From what I also noticed was that this happens randomly, so there is no beta programs to sign up.
